Step 2: In-Home Design Consultation
Investment: $300 | Time: ~60–90 minutes
This is where the magic starts. I meet you in the space to understand how you live and what the room needs to do—not just how it should look. We’ll review existing pieces you may want to keep, discuss storage needs, traffic flow, lighting, and the feeling you want when you walk in.
What happens during the consult:
Style and lifestyle interview (I ask targeted questions to “read” the room—and you)
Measurements and site notes (as needed for scope)
Review of any inspiration images
Initial direction on layout, palette, and priorities
You’ll get honest guidance right away, plus clarity on next steps.
Step 3: Proposal, Contract & Schedule
After the consultation, I send a detailed proposal with scope, deliverables, and a realistic schedule with milestones and deadlines. Once the contract is signed, we begin.
You’ll see:
Clear phases and what’s included in each
Payment schedule and decision checkpoints
Communication standards and expected timeline
Step 4: Concept & Schematic Design
Timeline: typically a couple of weeks of focused work
Here’s where your vision becomes tangible. We translate your needs into a design concept that balances beauty, function, and budget.
Deliverables may include:
Furniture Plan (layout with dimensions)
Wall Elevations and key details for built-ins or millwork
Furniture & Lighting Selections curated to your budget and style
Materials & Finish Samples (you’ll see/feel fabrics, woods, stones, etc.)
3D Photorealistic Visualizations so you can preview the space before you buy a single item
Everything is coordinated to work together—proportions, textures, color temperature of lighting, and the way the room feels morning to night.
Step 5: Design Presentation & Revisions
We meet to review your full design package. You’ll tell me what you love and what you’d like to adjust. We refine until you’re in love with the plan. (Yes, revisions are built in—because your feedback is essential.)
The outcome: Confidence. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting and how it will look.
Step 6: Procurement & Project Management
With approvals in place, we place orders, track lead times, coordinate trades, and manage the moving parts. If your scope includes renovation, we collaborate with contractors and specialists to keep the design intent on track.
Behind the scenes we handle:
Quotes, purchase orders, deliveries, and damages
Finish schedules and installation timing
Trade coordination (paint, electrical, millwork, etc.)
Budget stewardship and status reporting
